What is a Plasma Fibroblast Treatment?

Plasma Fibroblast is a revolutionary cosmetic treatment that offers an alternative to invasive surgical procedures. Plasma Fibroblast treatment is the only treatment to use plasma to remove excess skin. The term "soft surgery" is often used to describe this treatment because it delivers results that rival surgical procedures, but with minimal downtime and without having to go under the knife! It is a minimally invasive procedure with virtually no risk and at an affordable price.

The treatment uses a handheld device utilizing the voltage in the air between its metal tip and the skin creating a plasma charge. A tiny plasma flash called an electrical arc is created instantly shrinking the targeted skin. This minute superficial trauma causes the skin in its vicinity to shrink, tighten and lift, giving results that are noticeable immediately. This micro-trauma also stimulates new collagen growth. The elasticity of the skin and skin tightening will continue to improve as the skin heals and repairs and more collagen is produced. More than just the tightening effect, excess skin is removed so the results will last as long as with a surgical procedure.

Plasma fibroblast treats everything from fine lines and scarring, to stretch marks, crow's feet, and droopy eyelids. It is a completely safe procedure, suitable for most skin tones, an ideal treatment for anyone who wants to achieve a smoother, more youthful-looking complexion with results that are incredibly natural.

How Does Plasma Fibroblast Work?

Fibroblast skin tightening treatment is delivered using a hand-held device. This precision device delivers energy through a single-use disposable copper tip which comes into close contact with the skin, but does not actually touch the skin. It enables the transfer of energy by utilizing the CO2 in the air between the device tip and skin to generate a plasma charge creating a controlled millimeter-sized superficial wound. Repeated multiple times in the treated area in a grid-like formation; it only affects the outermost layer of the skin (the epidermis).

The result is a micro trauma- small carbon dots on the skin, causing the skin cells to pull together and immediately tighten. The treatment triggers your body's natural healing response causing the skin underneath to produce more fibroblasts, elastin, and collagen for up to 8-12 weeks after the treatment, so your results will get better and better over time.

Why Choose Plasma Fibroblast Over Other Non-Invasive Skin Tightenning Treatments?

Plasma Fibroblast has many benefits over other non-surgical skin tightening treatments such as laser, light therapy, radio-frequency and ultrasound.

These treatments work to increase the growth of collagen thereby tightening the skin and increasing elasticity. However, Plasma Fibroblast is the only treatment to not only increase fibroblast and collagen but also actively reduce excess skin and shrink the skin. This is great for loose crepey skin which usually requires invasive surgery to correct.

Plasma fibroblast is also the only treatment (aside from surgery) that can address areas around the eyes, particularly the upper eyelids. It is a great alternative to blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery).

What Are the Benefits of the Plasma Fibroblast Treatment?

Plasma Fibroblast skin tightening has increased in popularity due to its many advantages over surgery. The results are oftentimes noticed immediately and are similar results to surgery but without the cutting of the skin, general anesthesia, or stitches. It is a simple non-invasive treatment that offers amazing results with rapid healing minimal/no side effects and little to no downtime.

The cost of plasma fibroblast treatment is much lower than surgical procedures. You will not need to repeat the procedure every 4-6 months as you do with Botox & other fillers. The treatment is a great alternative for people who do not want to inject chemical substances into their faces.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

You may see results after one treatment, however, this depends on the area of the face or body being treated, skin laxity, and individual conditions and expectations.

For this reason, 2-3 treatments may be necessary for the full desired effect. In severe cases, 3-5 treatments may be necessary but it is rare to need more than 3-4 treatments.

Additional treatments can be safely done at 6 week intervals after the initial procedure.

Is the Treatment Painful?

A topical numbing cream with 5% lidocaine is applied and left on for 30-40 minutes before the treatment. The majority of people will not feel anything and some may experience mild discomfort. Overall the treatment ranges from no pain to very mild discomfort.

Is There Any Downtime After the Treatment?

You can resume your normal work immediately, however, you will have small pore size 'dots' in the areas treated. Some are okay going out in public while others may prefer to stay home and avoid being seen.

The tiny plasma flash causes 'crusts' to form on the skin giving the distinctive dotting effect. You can also experience some swelling and/or redness in the area treated, particularly in the eye area. The swelling will diminish over a 2-3 day period and the crust (brown dots) that occur are gone on average between 7-10 days.

You will be given aftercare instructions after your treatment which must be followed in order to achieve the best results and minimize any chances of side effects.

You must AVOID sun tanning or exposing your skin to the sun 6-8 weeks after the treatment, so plan any events or vacations accordingly.

How Long Will the Results Last?

Plasma Skin Tightening is more than a simple tightening treatment, skin is actually removed, so the effects should last as long as they would with invasive surgery. Like any surgical or cosmetic procedure, the effects of Plasma treatment won't stop the natural aging process. However, the results you get should last you for many years. Negative lifestyle choices such as too much sun, smoking, excess alcohol consumption are discouraged in order to maintain lasting results. Aftercare and maintenance are possible at any time.

Are There Any Risks or Side Effects?

Plasma Skin Tightening has been shown to be a safe procedure in thousands of patients due to its non-invasive nature.

However, as with most cosmetic procedures, patients can experience some minor side effects in the first 5 to 10 days after treatment such as swelling.

The entire treatment area will have small but visible brown dotted marks, which will begin to crust and shed naturally over the course of 5-10 days. Some patients will also experience 3 to 5 days of swelling, especially with eyelid treatments. To avoid any more serious side effects such as hyperpigmentation, follow the aftercare instruction given to you prior to your treatment.

Overall, the treatment is low in complications, and virtually painless thanks to the pre-treatment numbing cream.

Is This Treatment Right for Me?

I strive to ensure that all my treatments are offered only to people who will see the benefits.

Plasma is a very safe and effective treatment; however, it is not suitable for everyone. There are certain medical conditions and skin types which do not react well. Below are some contraindications for the treatment.

Contraindications:

• Clients should be in good health at the time of the appointment. If the client displays signs of cold or flu the treatment should be rescheduled.

• The client's skin should not be inflamed in the area we are treating prior to the procedure.

• Clients prone to keloid scars are not ideal candidates.

• Clients with diabetes that are not medicated and under control, healing disorders, or lymphatic draining issues should not undergo treatment.

• If you have Autoimmune issues there may be risks, please ask the technician.

• Clients with a sunburn/suntan should postpone treatment.

• History of Hypo or Hyperpigmentation is not ideal candidates.

• Clients must not display any tanning at the time of the treatment.

• Active Infection of any kind, such as Herpes Simplex.

• Recent Chemical Peel.

How Can I Best Prepare for My Treatment?

The most important preparation you may want to consider is your time during the first week following your treatment. Give careful thought before scheduling your appointment. Ensure you have no important meetings to attend, special occasions, or anything that you may have prolonged sun exposure. It is likely that you will prefer to stay at home until all of the brown crusts and swelling has subsided and you look more like yourself. This is purely a cosmetic issue and it may not be an issue to you if the visual effects of the treatment are of no concern.

• Please attend your appointment with clean skin, NO moisturizers, serum, makeup/tanning products on the treatment area, esp no mascara on lashes if the eye area is being treated.

• You may wish to wash your hair on the morning of your treatment as the treatment area cannot get wet following the procedure.

• No tanning or sunbathing at least 2-4 weeks prior to your appointment.

• No exfoliation including microdermabrasion, Glycolic Acid, Retin-A, Renova, Salicylic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acids for at least 4 weeks prior to your appointment.

• Do NOT take painkillers 24 hours prior to the procedure.

• Do NOT consume drugs, alcohol, or anything that might alter soberness 24 hours prior to the procedure.

What Can I Expect on the Day of My Appointment?

We will have a consultation days before your treatment to indicate the steps to follow before starting.

The agreed day for your treatment:

We will go over the consent forms and answer any questions you might have. We will also go over the aftercare instructions.

Once all that is done, a numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and left to take effect for 30-40 mins. When the area is sufficiently numb the treatment will begin. During the treatment you will feel some heat and minor irritation, most people will feel minimal or no pain.

Actual treatment time can last from 45 minutes and up to a couple of hours depending on the size of the area. You will be provided with aftercare instruction and a review appointment will be scheduled for 2 weeks later.

Is There Any Aftercare Required?

YES. During your first appointment, you will be given aftercare instructions. Following these instructions is critical for best results.

Complications or negative effects will not be caused by the device but more likely as a result of failure in complying with aftercare instruction. Aftercare with unsuitable products is often the chief culprit where a negative aspect of any kind occurs.

You will be provided with a detailed aftercare plan at your first appointment.

How Much Does the Treatment Cost?

The prices depend on the size of the area to be treated. Starting at 3,000 Kr.
If multiple treatments are necessary, I will work out a package price that will always be more convenient.

From my experience I can say that, if you are over 40-45 years old, it will always be better to do 2 or 3 treatments of the full face or at least 70% of the face and neck-decollete, so that everything returns to its place evenly. I combine my treatments with HIFU and Dermapen sessions after 15 days of the Fibroblast treatment to ensure amazing results.

Usually people start with zones, then are fascinated by the results and keep coming back for more and more. In the end, the cost is higher if you choose to do it in parts. For a young person, it is possible to do it in the areas that need it and a couple of sessions will be needed for a better result.

You can come for a consultation to prepare the package that best suits you.
For my SMP clients the consultation is free.
